In Friday's league contest, the host Mason Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 61-54 triumph over the St. Johns Redwings.

The Bulldogs (16-1) will now prepare for their contest against Laingsburg (Laingsburg, MI). The Wolfpack go into the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Laingsburg nipped Lansing Christian (Lansing, MI), 48-44, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Redwings confront the Swartz Creek Dragons (Swartz Creek, MI) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. St. Johns will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 11-6 record after their 55-51 league loss to Flushing (Flushing, MI).
