The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Loup (Arnold, NE) and the host Mullen Broncos (Mullen, NE), observed South Loup's basketball team overwhelm Mullen by a score of 52-22.
The (14-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Southern Valley (Oxford, NE). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-14 record. In their last challenge, Southern Valley was routed by Medicine Valley (Curtis, NE), 61-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Broncos encounter the Sandhills/Thedford Knights (Dunning, NE) in a D2 District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Mullen will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 60-45 non-league loss to Ainsworth (Ainsworth, NE).
