Virginia High School Basketball - Parry McCluer nips Narrows

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Parry McCluer Fighting Blues basketball team scored a close 77-70 triumph over the Narrows Green Waves.

The Fighting Blues (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Mustangs go into the Pioneer contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Eastern Montgomery nipped Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 51-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Green Waves battle the Highland Rams (Monterey, VA) in a Pioneer contest, on Monday, February 10. Narrows will attempt to better on its 11-8 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 8-6 record after their 40-28 league win over Bath County (Hot Springs, VA).
