Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY), 53-39 in a league match.

With the victory, Northeastern Clinton advances its record to 11-7 on the year. The Cougars travel to AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY) to face the Patriots in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II match on Wednesday, February 12. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 3-13.

The Hornets now own a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saranac for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I match on Monday, February 10.
