In Friday's league test, the Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX) basketball squad defeated the visiting Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX), by a score of 60-45.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 test, on Tuesday, February 11. Weslaco East will attempt to improve on its 28-4 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 11-19 record after their 52-25 league win over Donna (Donna, TX).

The Vikings (11-16) will now prepare for their test against Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Hawks come into the 5A Region IV District 32 test with a 21-14 record. In their last test, Harlingen South went down by Rivera (Brownsville, TX), 49-47, in a league test.
