In Friday's league contest, the visiting Perry-Lecompton Kaws basketball team scored a close 62-57 triumph over the Royal Valley Panthers.

The Kaws (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Osage City (Osage City, KS). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Osage City nipped Burlington (Burlington, KS), 62-61, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers confront the Pleasant Ridge Rams (Easton, KS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Royal Valley will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 5-10 record after their 48-34 league loss to Jackson Heights (Holton, KS).
