The Vermilion Sailors basketball squad (Vermilion, OH), was outscored 45-31 in Friday's league battle with the host Port Clinton Redskins (Port Clinton, OH)

With the victory, Port Clinton advances its record to 6-12 on the year. The Redskins host Clyde (Clyde, OH) to meet the Fliers in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 8. The Fliers enter the battle with a record of 10-9. Clyde lost 94-69 in their recent league battle against Perkins (Sandusky, OH)

The Sailors now own a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Steele for a non-league battle on Monday, February 10. Vermilion will meet a Comets squad coming off a 60-54 league win over Elyria (Elyria, OH). The Comets record now stands at 12-7.
