Alaska High School Basketball - West Anchorage thwarts South Anchorage

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK) and the visiting South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK), observed West Anchorage's basketball team knock off South Anchorage by a score of 49-40.
The Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Service (Anchorage, AK). The Cougars come into the 4A Cook Inlet challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Service prevailed over West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK), 65-63, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Wolverines play the Dimond Lynx (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Tuesday, February 11. South Anchorage will attempt to move on its 6-10 season record. The Lynx go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 70-58 league loss to Chugiak (Chugiak, AK).
