In Friday's league contest, the visiting Troup Tigers basketball team scored a close 50-49 triumph over the White Oak Roughnecks.

The Tigers (22-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sabine (Gladewater, TX). The Cardinals go into the 3A Region II District 16 contest with a 10-18 record. In their last contest, Sabine was tipped by West Rusk (New London, TX), 58-57, in a league contest.
