Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers (Waterville, MN) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting United South Central Rebels (Wells, MN), 71-39 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown advances its record to 12-10 on the year. The Buccaneers host Maple River (Mapleton, MN) to meet the Eagles in a AA Section 2 match on Tuesday, February 11. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 18-13.

The Rebels now own a 8-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman for a A Section 2 match on Monday, February 10. United South Central will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 88-58 non-league loss to Waseca (Waseca, MN). The Jaguars record now stands at 11-12.
