The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos (Avondale, AZ) and the host Copper Canyon Aztecs (Glendale, AZ), observed La Joya Community's basketball team knock off Copper Canyon by a score of 62-45.
The Fighting Lobos (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ). The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Sierra Linda prevailed over Glendale (Glendale, AZ), 48-44, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Aztecs encounter the Glendale Cardinals (Glendale, AZ) in a bout, on Thursday, February 13. Copper Canyon will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record.
