The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology Griffins (Sun Valley, CA) and the host Discovery Warriors (Sylmar, CA), observed Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology's basketball team knock off Discovery by a score of 39-20.
The Griffins (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sun Valley Magnet (Sun Valley, CA). The Pioneers come into the Central Valley challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, Sun Valley Magnet prevailed over Magnolia Science Academy Reseda (Reseda, CA), 50-16, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars (Lake Balboa, CA) in a Central Valley challenge, on Monday, February 10. Discovery will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 38-20 league win over Valor Academy (Van Nuys, CA).
