In Friday's league contest, the host Decatur Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 38-33 triumph over the Alpena Leopards.
The Bulldogs (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Eureka Springs (Eureka Springs, AR). The Highlanders go into the 2A Region 1 contest with a 2-17 record. In their last contest, Eureka Springs was tipped by Alpena (Alpena, AR), 57-26, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Leopards battle the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves (Newark, AR) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Alpena will attempt to better on its 11-18 season record. The Timberwolves go into the contest with a 9-15 record after their 40-36 league loss to Cotter (Cotter, AR).
