Georgia High School Basketball - Lanier County thwarts Atkinson County

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA) and the host Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), witnessed Lanier County's basketball squad prevail over Atkinson County by a count of 45-35.

With the victory, Lanier County advances its record to 12-11 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Irwin County (Ocilla, GA) to meet the Indians in a A D2 Region 2 battle on Saturday, February 8. The Indians enter the battle with a record of 9-14. Irwin County lost 57-44 in their recent league battle against Charlton County (Folkston, GA)

The Rebels now own a 6-17 record.
