The Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN) basketball edged the host Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears (Clearbrook, MN), 52-49 in Friday's league bout.
The Drakes now possess a 14-9 record. They play next when they travel to Deer River for a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. Blackduck will play a Warriors team coming off a 68-53 league win over Littlefork-Big Falls (Littlefork, MN). The Warriors record now stands at 15-10.
With the loss, Clearbrook-Gonvick falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Lake of the Woods (Baudette, MN) to play the Bears in a A Section 8 bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-13.
