The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) and the visiting West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC), observed Central Cabarrus's basketball team overcome West Rowan by a margin of 50-39.

The Vikings (9-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs come into the 3A South Piedmont challenge with a 18-4 record. In their last challenge, Robinson defeated Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 39-34, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. West Rowan will attempt to better on its 1-20 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 60-52 league win over Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).
