In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Chippewa Valley Big Reds basketball team scored a good 56-46 triumph over the Port Huron Northern Huskies.
The Big Reds (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Utica (Utica, MI). The Chieftains go into the non-league contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Utica was topped by Romeo (Romeo, MI), 59-23, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Huskies battle the Fraser Ramblers (Fraser, MI) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 13. Port Huron Northern will attempt to better on its 12-6 season record. The Ramblers go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 45-28 non-league win over Marysville (Marysville, MI).
