The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Coquille Red Devils (Coquille, OR) and the host Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR), observed Coquille's basketball team overwhelm Douglas by a score of 48-9.
The Red Devils (18-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Siuslaw (Florence, OR). The Vikings come into the 3A Far West challenge with a 2-19 record. In their last challenge, Siuslaw was routed by Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR), 50-13, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR) in a 3A Far West challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Douglas will attempt to improve on its 2-19 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 47-22 league win over South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR).
