Michigan High School Basketball - Grosse Pointe South can't get by Dakota

Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI), 39-36 in a league match.

With the victory, Dakota advances its record to 7-10 on the year. The Cougars host River Rouge (River Rouge, MI) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 6-6.

The Blue Devils now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cousino for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Grosse Pointe South will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 37-35 non-league win over L'Anse Creuse North (Macomb, MI). The Patriots record now stands at 9-7.
