The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Drummond Lumberjacks (Drummond, WI) and the visiting Mercer Tigers (Mercer, WI), observed Drummond's basketball team knock off Mercer by a score of 45-31.

The Lumberjacks (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against South Shore (Port Wing, WI). The Cardinals come into the Northern Lights challenge with a 13-6 record. In their last challenge, South Shore dropped by Butternut (Butternut, WI), 43-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI) in a Northern Lights challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Mercer will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Northstars come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 51-38 league loss to Mellen (Mellen, WI).
