The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA) and the host Falmouth Academy Mariners (Falmouth, MA), observed Nantucket's basketball team edge Falmouth Academy by a score of 28-25.

The Whalers (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cape Cod Academy (Osterville, MA). The Seahawks come into the Cape & Islands challenge with a 1-6 record.

In their next game, the Mariners battle the Calvary Chapel Academy (Rockland, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Falmouth Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record.
