The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Franklin County Rebels (Winchester, TN) and the visiting Giles County Bobcats (Pulaski, TN), observed Franklin County's basketball team knock off Giles County by a score of 58-39.

The Rebels (14-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Cannon County (Woodbury, TN). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 16-4 record. In their last challenge, Cannon County prevailed over Community (Unionville, TN), 42-40, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Central Magnet (Murfreesboro, TN) in a 3A District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Giles County will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record. The come into the challenge with a 7-17 record after their 42-34 league loss to Marshall County (Lewisburg, TN).
