North Carolina High School Basketball - Lakewood overwhelms Hobbton

February 7, 2025: Newton Grove, NC 28366

The Lakewood Leopards basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host Hobbton Wildcats to 21 in the Leopards league triumph on Friday.

The Leopards now possess a 15-2 record. They play next when they host Neuse Charter for a 1A Carolina game on Tuesday, February 11. Lakewood will confront a Cougars team coming off a 56-26 league win over Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 20-6.

With the loss, Hobbton falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Union (Rose Hill, NC) to confront the Spartans in a 1A Carolina game on Monday, February 10. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 2-16. Union lost 64-15 in their recent league game against North Duplin (Calypso, NC)
