In Friday's non-league contest, the host Yazoo County Panthers basketball team scored a good 52-36 triumph over the Humphreys County Cowboys.
The Panthers (20-5) will now prepare for their contest against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS). The Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 11-15 record. In their last contest, Holly Springs was toppled by Independence (Independence, MS), 46-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cowboys confront the North Panola Cougars (Sardis, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Humphreys County will attempt to better on its 12-16 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 16-11 record after their 37-24 non-league loss to Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS).
