The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the LaCrosse Leopards (LaCrosse, KS) and the host Ness City Eagles (Ness City, KS), observed LaCrosse's basketball team knock off Ness City by a score of 38-21.

The Leopards (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln (Lincoln, KS). The Leopards come into the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln was knocked off by Pike Valley (Scandia, KS), 37-31, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Ellis Railroaders (Ellis, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Ness City will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Railroaders come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 40-29 league win over Trego (WaKeeney, KS).
