Colorado High School Basketball - Sedgwick County holds off Merino

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Sedgwick County Cougars basketball team scored a close 51-44 triumph over the Merino Rams.

The Cougars (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Briggsdale (Briggsdale, CO). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Briggsdale nipped Prairie (New Raymer, CO), 46-37, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Rams confront the Akron Rams (Akron, CO) in a 3A/2A Lower Platte contest, on Thursday, February 13. Merino will attempt to better on its 15-1 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 9-7 record after their 47-33 non-league win over Byers (Byers, CO).
