The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) and the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), observed Oak Grove's basketball team overwhelm Montgomery Central by a score of 68-25.
The Grizzlies (15-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Spartans come into the 3A Mid-Piedmont challenge with a 11-10 record. In their last challenge, Central Davidson trounced North Davidson (Lexington, NC), 54-25, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Timberwolves encounter the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) in a 3A Mid-Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Montgomery Central will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Blue Comets come into the challenge with a 4-17 record after their 51-26 league loss to Ledford (Thomasville, NC).
