The Shepaug Valley Spartans basketball squad (Washington, CT), was nudged 33-31 in Friday's league battle with the host Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT)
With the victory, Nonnewaug advances its record to 2-2 on the year. The Chiefs travel to Kaynor Tech (Waterbury, CT) to meet the Panthers in a non-league battle on Thursday, February 13. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 2-2.
The Spartans now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Terryville for a Berkshire battle on Monday, February 10.
