In Friday's league contest, the host Mountain View Spartans basketball team scored a close 33-30 win over the Cupertino Pioneers.
The Spartans (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Lynbrook (San Jose, CA). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Lynbrook was tipped by Homestead (Cupertino, CA), 38-32, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Pioneers battle the Gunn Titans (Palo Alto, CA) in a contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Cupertino will attempt to better on its 15-5 season record.
