The Mt. Pleasant Tigers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Lufkin Panthers to 1 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Whitehouse for a 5A Region 2 District 10 bout on Tuesday, February 11. Mt. Pleasant will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Texas (Texarkana, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Lufkin moves to 2-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to Marshall (Marshall, TX) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Marshall lost 8-0 in their recent league bout against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX)
