In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils basketball team scored a good 47-36 triumph over the Bandys Trojans.

The Red Devils (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Bears go into the non-league contest with a 6-13 record. In their last contest, Bunker Hill topped Maiden (Maiden, NC), 42-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Trojans confront the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Bandys will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 2-15 record after their 53-36 non-league loss to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
