The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 68 points and limited the host Brentsville District Tigers to 22 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Skyline for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. Meridian will play a Hawks team coming off a 60-40 non-league loss to Handley (Winchester, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Brentsville District falls to 4-14 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Fauquier (Warrenton, VA) to play the Falcons in a non-league game on Monday, February 10. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 10-5. Fauquier lost 35-28 in their recent non-league game against Liberty (Bealeton, VA)
