The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC) and the visiting Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC), observed Bunker Hill's basketball team edge Maiden by a score of 42-40.
The Bears (6-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 14-3 record. In their last challenge, Newton-Conover edged Bandys (Catawba, NC), 47-36, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Blue Devils encounter the Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Maiden will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record.
