In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Calvert Cavaliers basketball team scored a close 47-46 triumph over the Chopticon Braves.
The Cavaliers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Leonardtown nipped Northern (Owings, MD), 65-55, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Braves battle the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) in a contest, on Wednesday, February 12. Chopticon will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 13-2 record after their 62-32 non-league win over Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD).
