The Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) basketball edged the host George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA), 51-47 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 10-5 record. They play next when they host McLean for a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. Herndon will play a Highlanders team coming off a 81-61 non-league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, George C. Marshall falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Statesmen travel to Langley (McLean, VA) to play the Saxons in a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. The Saxons go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Langley won 64-63 in their recent non-league bout against Herndon (Herndon, VA)
