Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC), 47-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Rosewood advances its record to 4-9 on the year. The Eagles travel to North Duplin (Calypso, NC) to face the Rebels in a non-league match on Monday, February 10. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 7-10. North Duplin won 65-42 in their recent league match against Union (Rose Hill, NC)

The Cougars now own a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakewood for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Neuse Charter will face a Leopards squad coming off a 55-37 league win over Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 10-4.
