    • Texas High School Basketball - Honey Grove can't hold off Bland

    The Bland Tigers basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Honey Grove Warriors to 40 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

    The Tigers now sport a 28-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tom Bean for a 2A Region II District 14 contest on Friday, February 11. Bland will battle a Tomcats team coming off a 46-41 league win over Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX). The Tomcats record now stands at 6-20.

    The Warriors (15-14) will now prepare for their contest against Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX). The Wolves enter the 2A Region II District 14 contest with a 12-15 record. In their last contest, Wolfe City nudged Bland (Merit, TX), 46-45, in a league contest.
