Georgia High School Basketball - Douglass topped by Cedar Grove

The Cedar Grove Saints basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Douglass Astros to 49 in the Saints league victory on Tuesday.
The Saints now sport a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salem for a AAA Region 5 contest on Friday, February 11. Cedar Grove will battle a Seminoles team coming off a 59-53 league win over Carver (Atlanta, GA). The Seminoles record now stands at 19-4.
The Astros (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA). The Spartans come into the AAA Region 5 contest with a 19-5 record. In their last contest, Greater Atlanta Christian prevailed over Marist (Atlanta, GA), 59-48, in a non-league contest.
