University Trojans (Waco, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX), 50-44 in a league bout.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 13-17 on the season. The Trojans travel to Ennis (Ennis, TX) to clash with the Lions in a 5A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, February 11. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 14-14. Ennis won 63-58 in their recent league bout against Corsicana (Corsicana, TX)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Cleburne Yellowjackets (Cleburne, TX) in a 5A Region II District 14 bout, on Friday, February 11. Joshua will attempt to upgrade on its 20-11 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 12-19 record after their 65-54 league win over Midlothian (Midlothian, TX).
