The Nelson County Governors basketball team (Lovingston, VA), was nudged 42-35 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA)

The Raiders now sport a 3-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gretna for a Dogwood battle on Friday, February 10. Appomattox County will battle a Hawks team coming off a 56-53 league win over Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 13-8.

The Governors (2-14) will now prepare for their battle against William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Generals come into the Dogwood battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, William Campbell was nudged by Dan River (Ringgold, VA), 71-64, in a league battle.
