Bear Lake Lakers (Bear Lake, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Walkerville Wildcats (Walkerville, MI), 43-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bear Lake upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Lakers host Pentwater (Pentwater, MI) to play the Falcons in a West Michigan D bout on Friday, February 10. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Pentwater won 55-50 in their recent league bout against Marion (Marion, MI)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Baldwin Panthers (Baldwin, MI) in a West Michigan D bout, on Friday, February 10. Walkerville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 15-1 record after their 64-19 league win over Crossroads Charter Academy (Big Rapids, MI).
