Glen Lake Lakers (Maple City, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Buckley Bears (Buckley, MI), 58-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Glen Lake upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Lakers host Suttons Bay (Suttons Bay, MI) to clash with the Norsemen in a Northwest bout on Friday, February 10. The Norsemen go into the bout with a record of 3-11.

Next up, the Bears clash with the Onekama Portagers (Onekama, MI) in a Northwest bout, on Friday, February 10. Buckley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Portagers go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 58-45 league loss to Benzie Central (Benzonia, MI).
