Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cypress Falls Eagles (Houston, TX), 49-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cypress Ranch upgrades its record to 18-12 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 6A Region II District 16 bout on Saturday, February 11. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 15-14. Cypress Woods won 65-42 in their recent league bout against Cypress Park (Cypress, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX) in a 6A Region II District 16 bout, on Saturday, February 11. Cypress Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 23-7 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 12-17 record after their 60-47 league loss to Langham Creek (Houston, TX).
