Downey Knights (Modesto, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Modesto Panthers (Modesto, CA), 75-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Downey upgrades its record to 22-5 on the season. The Knights travel to Turlock (Turlock, CA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Central California Athletic League bout on Friday, February 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 16-11. Turlock lost 74-73 in their recent league bout against Pitman (Turlock, CA)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Gregori Jaguars (Modesto, CA) in a Central California Athletic League bout, on Friday, February 10. Modesto will attempt to upgrade on its 6-18 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 5-21 record after their 64-45 league loss to Enochs (Modesto, CA).
