Rhode Island High School Basketball - East Providence can't hold off La Salle Academy

The La Salle Academy Rams basketball team scored 59 points and held the host East Providence Townies to 53 in the Rams league triumph on Wednesday.
The Rams now sport a 18-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Narragansett for a State Championship contest on Friday, February 10. La Salle Academy will battle a Mariners team coming off a 50-43 league win over East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Mariners record now stands at 8-12.
The Townies (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Avengers enter the State Championship contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, East Greenwich was nudged by Narragansett (Narragansett, RI), 50-43, in a league contest.
