Texas High School Basketball - Holmes can't hold off Taft

The Taft Raiders basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Holmes Huskies to 52 in the Raiders league triumph on Wednesday.

The Raiders now sport a 19-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jay for a 6A Region IV District 29 contest on Saturday, February 11. Taft will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 76-46 league loss to Harlan (San Antonio, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-20.

The Huskies (14-15) will now prepare for their contest against Brennan (San Antonio, TX). The Bears enter the 6A Region IV District 29 contest with a 25-7 record. In their last contest, Brennan nudged Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX), 71-40, in a league contest.
