The Woonsocket Villa Novans basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Westerly Bulldogs to 53 in the Villa Novans league triumph on Wednesday.

The Villa Novans now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Kingstown for a State Championship contest on Friday, February 10. Woonsocket will meet a Skippers team coming off a 68-56 league loss to Classical (Providence, RI). The Skippers record now stands at 4-12.

The Bulldogs (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Classical (Providence, RI). The Purples enter the State Championship contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Classical ran past North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI), 68-56, in a league contest.
