Catholic Central Crusaders (Steubenville, OH) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Buckeye Local Panthers (Rayland, OH), 55-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Catholic Central upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Frontier (New Matamoras, OH) to play the Cougars in a Pioneer Valley bout on Thursday, February 9. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 14-4. Frontier won 59-33 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV)
