The Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) basketball felled the visiting Clear Spring Blazers (Clear Spring, MD), 53-34 in Wednesday's league test.
The Cougars (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Governor Thomas Johnson (Frederick, MD). The Patriots go into the Central Maryland test with a 2-17 record. In their last test, Governor Thomas Johnson went down by Frederick (Frederick, MD), 58-34, in a league bout.
Next up, the Blazers clash with the Brunswick Railroaders (Brunswick, MD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Clear Spring will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Railroaders go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 51-41 non-league loss to Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD).
