North Carolina High School Basketball - Clayton routs Sanderson

February 8, 2023: Raleigh, NC 27609

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC), by a margin of 58-34.

The Comets (17-8) will now prepare for their outing against South Garner (Garner, NC). The Titans go into the 4A Conference 26 outing with a 7-16 record. In their last outing, South Garner was trounced by Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), 55-35, in a league outing.

The Spartans now own a 4-17 record. They play next when they travel to Cardinal Gibbons for a 4A Conference 28 outing on Friday, February 10. Sanderson will clash with a Crusaders squad coming off a 60-43 league win over Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 18-3.
